Who even am I?

I'm a multi-media journalist working towards a career in the music industry, hopefully as something in the tune of media management/production. I am currently the Lifestyle Editor at The Daily Titan, Cal State Fullerton's student newspaper, and work in multimedia with Free The Youth, an online music media and booking collective. Along with more AP-standard media I've produced, I am a media manager for a few musicians. Below are a few stories pulled from these sources and previous others. In this transformative time in journalism, I believe new ground is being broken in terms of what we do with media and how to use it, so it's exciting to be a part of the industry as is blooms into something new before us!

Jakob Nowell — Free the Youth

“In my studies, what I learned is that the most Sublime thing you can do is just be genuine, and kind of not give a fuck.” - a grinning Jakob Nowell, cigarette in mouth in Downtown Disney. As the shining new front-man of one of SoCal’s best kept treasures unfolded his perspective and experiences in front of me, it was clear that the genuine warmth he brings to the stage was not a taught skill; that’s just who he is. Extremely human in his nature, he brought with him a wooden coaster in the pocke...

Mo’s Fullerton Music harvests decades of flavorful memories

One of the most prominent so-called “destination” stores in the Orange County music scene still stands in the face of tribulations, making it an even more memorable gem of the city of Fullerton. A shining pillar of Fullerton since 1977, Mo’s Music still stands proud at their new location on East Commonwealth.

The record store has continued to shine as one of Fullerton’s most beloved spots through the decades, and it has seemingly always been this way. Maurice Palmateer, better known as Mo, star

CSUF students dance the night away at campus music event

Tucked away in the lower level of the Titan Student Union, the Pub went up in glowing lights, laughter and lively mixes of music on April 30, as students of all styles came together to celebrate Titan Radio’s first Boiler Room event.

Boiler Room sets are characterized by smaller atmospheres with twice the life and triple the online views. DJs often play their unique sets to an audience of many, whether they're at a turntable or dancing on screen.

Titan Radio’s Boiler Room was nothing short of

Emerging rap duo finds a modern way to fame

Following the musical blockades that the 2020 pandemic presented to artists on a global scale, many suffered the loss of conventional success and partnerships within the music scene. This situation, however, is something that artists AKTHESAVIOR and sagun used to their advantage.

The two artists’ passion and talent both shine through their lo-fi/rap debut collaboration album “u r not alone.”

An album created over Zoom due to pandemic lockdowns and working across the world from each other, the

Review: Green Day aren’t your "Saviors"

After gaining the attention of the internet, political enthusiasts and even members of the one percent, punk rock band Green Day reaches audiences big and small with their politically-lukewarm 14th studio album “Saviors.” This album is just the start of the commotion the band plans on making in 2024.

Following the trio’s performances on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest which featured a lyric change in “American Idiot” attacking Trump’s collective right and a surprise show

REVIEW: sting by emarosa

If Emarosa’s new album “Sting” is nothing else, it is undoubtedly, without question, fun.

The follow-up little brother to their break-out pop album “Peach Club” came out at just the right time to be the new electro-pop sound of the spring. “Sting” takes its audience through a variety of stories, feelings, and emotions while always maintaining this up-beat fast tempoed sound that has a way of commanding you to move along with it. Although the music is catchy and incredibly dance-able, there are
